We have been testing for almost a year now a very interesting “Acupuncture” Protocol which is widely used by practitioners in cases of Stress, Anxiety, Depression and even OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), we call it “The Calming Triangle”.
As you may know by now, our site is being constantly monitored and the content published here is reviewed by LifeWave’s Compliance Department.
As you also could imagine, our intention is always to be compliant so, we are going to share here the actual Acupuncture Protocol with a brief explanation of all points used.
We believe anyone could then use that information by any means like acupressure, patches etc. and have all the benefits of it.
This is one of those protocols that we should always keep in mind…
The Calming Triangle
-
H7 Acupoint Position – (Used Bilaterally)
-
LU9 Acupoint Position – (Used Bilaterally)
-
P6 Acupoint Position – (Used Bilaterally)
Here it is a full image as a guide:
According to the tests we’ve done, we also add to the Calming Triangle:
-
TW4Acupoint Position – (Used Bilaterally)
Lastly, during the night a good acupoint to use would be:
-
Yintang Acupoint Position
According to our own tests have given us good results as well.
STRONG RECOMMENDATION
Try to be very familiar with all the Calming Triangle acupoints by finding them, pressing them and “Feeling” them.
Sometimes you could find yourself without patches at a “Crossroad” situation so, just relax yourself and start massaging all the points while breathing deeply and trying to clear your mind of negative thoughts.
We know it works because we’ve tried on ourselves as well as it did work with others around us.
POINTS EXPLANATION
For those who are interested to know a bit more why all acupoints were selected at this protocol, here is a more “in-depth” explanation:
LU9 is known as the ‘source point’ of the Lung meridian, so its primary functions involve improving Lung function. By stimulating LU9, we are sending Chi to the lungs to deepen our respiration and breathe in joy of life, which also helps in cases of anxiety due to shallow and rapid breathing. This point also governs circulation, so we may use this point to help with cold hands and feet.
H7 is called Spirit Gate. This point is used to calm the spirit and calm the mind. H7 could be used in cases of mani-depression, disorientation, mind racing, agitation, palpitations, pounding of the heart, dry throat, red face, and shortness of breath.
P6 is a very important point and by stimulating it we are regulating the Chi and the heart, calming the spirit, opening the chest, alleviating nausea, and clearing heat.
However, the combination of all these 3 points is what makes the Calming Triangle effective.
We added TW4 because combined with P6, regulates the Triple Warmer, move Liver Chi, calm the spirit, relax the muscles in the occiput and shoulders which are usually tense during stressing moments.
Also, if you think it throughly, it creates an inverted triangle with LU9 & H7.
Yintang is a powerful and effective point to calm the spirit in cases of anxiety and agitation, eliminates internal wind and opens the channel and alleviates pain.
The 6 Patches Technique for chronic Fatigue
This patching technique was formulated specifically for cases of Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency (Xu).
What is Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency?, you may ask…
As it is known, Chi is the body’s vital life force energy and is responsible for movement. Yang is responsible for activity and Yin is responsible for nourishment.
It is said that Kidney Yang is the root of all the physiological activities in the body. If the Kidney becomes deficient, the Spleen will be unable to effectively produce nutrient essence for the body’s needs. In the case of yang deficiency of spleen and kidney, there isn’t enough Chi (vital energy) so, according to the Acupuncture literature, here are some of the main symptoms associated with a Spleen and Kidney Yang deficiency:
Often feeling exhausted or fatigued, tired spirit
Coldness and pain in the lower abdomen
Intermittent constipation and diarrhea with undigested food, diarrhea
Lower back and knee weakness
Shortness of breath
Impotence or low libido
Abundant clear urination, nocturia or unsmooth urination
Edema/swelling of the face and the limbs
Excessive clear vaginal discharge
Lastly, Chi and Yang can be damaged by these 3 main factors:
Over work
Over exercise
Over thinking (or worrying)
Also by aging, unhealthy eating, enduring illness, or side effects of medication.
Note:
Our tests using the 6 patches technique have been mainly in cases of constant fatigue combined with lower back pain and digestive issues where other patching protocols were not as effective.
We are unable the test on many other cases so, here we share this new technique hoping that it would be helpful for everyone as a new option in patching.
